When did your kids start to loose their teeth?

How old where your kids when they started to loose their baby teeth? How did you handle it? Did you do the toothe fairy thing or not?

My daughter was six, and yes the toothfairy came to visit. I think we were more excited than her.

I heard a neat idea the other day that I wish I had known about before... When the toothfairy leaves the money she also drops a little fairy glitter. I bet this would really excite little girls.

My son lost his first two teeth within a month of each other at 5 1/2 years old.  His two front teeth.  He was so proud. 

Unfortunately, my husband decided the tooth fairy would bring $4 for the first tooth setting a horrible precedent.  I got a .25 when I was a kid.  My son gets $4.  I make him put at least a dollar in his piggy bank.
