3/12/2010 11:26:16 PM My daughter has horrible car sickness, is there anything over the counter that is safe for toddlers for motion sickness? Are there any things we can do to help her with it? |

I had the same problem with my daughter and found that in her case, it was a simple solution. She could not see out the window and that seemed to make her sick. We got a higher sitting car seat and that took care of the problem - her grandfather thought of this!! |

After trying the higher sitting car seat, if this still does not work. Try getting your child to eat a couple of saltine crackers. This seems to work very well in many different cases of nausea. |

My doctor suggested sitting her car seat in the middle of the back seat and keeping a bottle of water in the car. Dramamine is another suggestion. However, we found these car sickness wrist bands which can be found with the motion sickness medicine. These are like magic. I even use them. There is a pressure point on your wrist that these bands press on that stop motion sickness. They work best when put on 15-30 minutes before you leave. We like to leave them in the car seat so we don't forget them. Give them a shot and they are drug free1 I found them for about $7. Ask a pharmacist for them and they can direct you to them. Good luck! |
