I had a c-section a little over a month ago and still have not gotten all of the feeling back. Is the feeling ever going to come back were the incision was made? If any one knows how long or if the feeling returns I would like to know please.

I had a c-section 11 years ago and still have a line across my belly where there is no feeling. I don't think it ever comes back completely. And your muscles are weaker there too, from being cut.

I have a had three c-sections and it seems to be the popular answer no your feeling really doesnt come back all the way. Now as far as your muscles, everyone is different and mine bounced back after I was allowed to work out.

Depending on the surgeon's skills - yes the sensation will eventually return. But remember - it's scar tissue, so it's not neccesarily going to have full sensation. I had two bikini line c-sections. One in 2004 and one back in January {2010}. My older scar is not even visible and has full sensation, and my newest one is almost invisible as well with almost full sensation. I requested a certain internal stitch method as well, which could be a factor, but generally any scar tissue takes long periods to heal. I used cocoa butter and vitamin E, believe it or not - I found Hawaain Tropic suntan oil with no spf helps makes your skin healthy and reduce scars.

As far as your muscles, it depends on Where the surgery line is as to how long before you will be back in shape. Vertical surgery's take longer to heal, and the lower the surgery the more likely you are to heal faster. This is just from personal research. Also - don't push yourself too soon, as you can tear your surgery inside.

Take the time to enjoy the newborn baby time, because it goes so fast. :) And once your little one is on the go - you'll be so busy keeping up, you'll wake up one day and not even notice the scars, or know where the baby weight went. lol.
