I would try to help my child find a new friend to play with especially if the lies are hurtful to your child. I would also make this as a good teaching tool on why we shouldn't lie. |

I completely and totally agree with you. If one does not like the qualities and traits their child is learning from other children then it is our responsibility as parents to find other playmates for our children. I totally practice what I preach! There is a little girl in our neighborhood that I absolutely forbid my daughter to play with because in the short time that they were friends she was rude, mouth, and way too “advanced” for my liking. I have no shame in telling parents that I do not want my daughter playing with their child. At the end of the day, I have no one else to answer to but myself for my daughter’s behavior and happiness.
