Appropriate punishments for a 5 year old

What is an appropriate punishment for a 5 year old who hits/pinches a 1 year old?  Our daughter has been showing some  aggressive behavior towards our 1 year old son for no reason.  We do not believe in spanking but we want to be firm and let her know that it is not okay to ever use violence in any way towards anyone.  She needs to be disciplined for her actions besides just being told that it is not okay.  Any suggestions?
