Asked by mrsmurch {154} http://www.covenanthomemaking.com 3/31/2010 5:51:04 PM When my husband and I were first married, I stayed home full time. My parents bought a business a few months after we were married, and I went to work for them. I never planned to work all the way up until my daughter was born, but I was at the office on my due-date! After she was born, I kind of wished I had had a few months at home before she was born. What is your experience? |

It always seems like you're going to have enough time off before your baby's born. My mother used to tell me that she had almost 2 months off before AND after I was born. But likewise, though I planned to have a month off before the baby was born due to back pains and swollen feet, I worked until the day before my due date, when I had false labor. I went to the ER and my job (which is in the hospital) finally decided I could be off! I had my baby less than 2 days later. |

With my first child, I worked right up to my due date, full time. It was not what I wanted to do, but had to do. With my second child, I worked up until 37 weeks, as I had started contracting, and dilating, with increased blood pressure. I only worked three nights a week while I was pregnant with her. That pregnancy was much harder than my first one. |

I was a flight attendant when I got pregnant, I pretty much resigned when we found out about the baby, all that bumpy air just didnt seem to go hand and hand with pregnancy.....lol.........I think it depends on what your occupation is. |
