Well, personally I won't allow my child to smoke in our home. I am sure that might be a challenge. My husband and I don't smoke either. |

I agree that it might be a challenge. Especially with a teen. If you don't want them to do it and they do, they'll just try to hide it! - lifeloving 3/31/2010 9:15:13 PM | Flag |

I don't smoke, but my husband does. I don't allow him to smoke inside the house though. He has to go outside, even if it's -15F!!! I don't condone the habit and he doesn't want the house to smell of smoke either because of our daughter. If she would decide to smoke I'd be really disappointed because she was definitely raised otherwise. I'd never let her smoke in the house and would never buy cigarettes for her. I'd make sure my husband doesn't either! |

Neither my husband or I smoke - although I used to. I would never let my children smoke in the house or anywhere in my presence. I certainly would not buy cigarettes for them. |

We do not smoke and hopefully our children never do. The thought terrifies me :( We do not allow anyone to smoke in our home; so, no, they would not be allowed to. There is also NO WAY we would buy anything like that for them. |

I never picked up the habit of smoking and my wife quit before we got together. As the father I have the God-given authority to prevent my kids from smoking in this house. Because we're non-smokers it's very easy for us to pick up on the scent. Until they are out of this house they are subject to the rules of this house as well as the consequences of breaking those rules. As far as buying cigarettes... absolutely not. I'm not going to disown the kids if they start smoking but I will never support that kind of habit. |
