What is the best diaper brand for a boy?

Before my son was born, I stocked up on a bunch of diapers from different brands. I'm having a hard time finding the perfect diaper brand that works for us. I have yet to find one that doesn't leave me covered in baby fluids. Are there any diapers that are better for baby boys?

Check the absorbsency.  Boy or girl, it's important that the diaper be able to soak up the fluids.  I had to change my first son, and until I wised up and got the super-absorbent brand, I got a face full and hands full every time.  Brand is less important than the quality of absorbency, believe me.

You also need to make sure the size is right. There's no reason to be covered in baby fluids.

My son is 18 months and we've always used Pampers Baby Dry. At night, we use Pampers Overnites a size bigger than he wears during the day. This way, it holds more over night.

When my sons were born, we got lots of diapers for baby shower gifts, and we were going through a time (particularly with the second one) that we thought we couldn't afford the name brands, so we pretty much used what we had.  I could really tell the difference when using the store brands!

The only two brands that ever worked for my two are Luvs and Huggies, and it wasn't so much about the absorbency as about the fact that they had those little gathers at the legs that kept the fluid from seeping out the sides.  That might be something to look for.

I've used pampers on both girls and boys and found them to be the best.

I prefer huggies. They are expensive but brands such as Luv`s, Target, Pampers are all made thin, so when I go to undo the tab to put it on him, I always end up tearing it off. So I waste a few diapers. Just my opinion. My husband also tears the tabs off and it ticks him off more then me.
