4/14/2010 5:26:59 PM Should my friend allow her teenage daughter to drive friends around in her car. She just turned 17 and has 4 friends kids that want a ride to and from school. And they go out on the weekends. Is this ok do you think or should she limit it to one or 2 friends in the car at a time? |

I think there should be a limited. A car packed with teens I don't trust. More minds to come up with ideas to get into trouble plus I had a friend who totaled her car driving people home from school. No one was hurt but still. I think 2 friends is enough. |

Yes, two friends should be enough, if you get any more teenagers in the car there may be distractions which could cause an accident. - holly 4/16/2010 4:31:11 PM | Flag |

When it comes new drivers they need to concentrate alot more then a seasoned driver so the less distraction in the car the safer the driver will be during the first year after that two would be ok. |

I completely agree with you and this is why I agree that there should be no more than one other child in the car at a time. This is because I remember being a teen girl and driving and there were times that I know I could have gotten hurt only because I was not an experienced driver. It was not because I was reckless or irresponsible. I just really needed to get my experience. - MomOfTwo 4/16/2010 11:04:11 AM | Flag |

I agree that four maybe too many teens in a car at once. But even if you give her permission to take one or two you really don't know who else she picks up. I think you should make sure she knows how to be safe while driving and trust her a little. If her grades are good and you know her friends I think it is ok. She is 17 and growing up |

| Andrea Furia I always told my son he could take one friend, and one friend only.If he got caught with more he couldn`t use the car for two weeks. He stuck to it... it worked out fine. Thank God for having a son who listens!Once I knew he respected my wishes he was allowed 2 others in the car... and so forth.Never had any traffic issues, so this rule worked out good for us. He`s been driving for almost 4 yrs.. Knock on Wood!!!I can`t say this will work well with just any teen... but it did with mine :)Go Saturday, March 05, 2011 | ||

| Elizabeth Young I think that should be up to the kids parents and if they do something irresponsible they pay the price. I am getting tired of all these restrictions on what people can and can`t do. We/our kids should be held accountable for their actions. Good or Bad. Saturday, March 05, 2011 | ||
