4/20/2010 1:20:34 AM My daughter is almost 2. She is in a toddler bed and fights bedtime every night. She keeps getting up. She is so sweet too. She isn't throwing fits, just fighting it for all its worth. I am looking for advice on how to get her to stay in her bed. |

It would be helpful to know what kind of bedtime routine you have and what time you are putting your daughter to bed. We always wound our kids down with a small snack and then picked a bedtime movie or bedtime book. We used a timer, and when the timer went off it was brush teeth and then to bed. If any of them got out of bed, we would walk back down the hall and tuck them back in, sometimes more than once or twice, but just kept reinforcing that it was bedtime and they were expected to stay in their beds and go to sleep. We kept interaction to a minimum so the children would not get to wound up again and think it was an after-hours playtime! |

| Melany Dailey Clayborn I had the same problem. For almost a year she would always end up in the middle of the night end up on the couch or my bed. When we moved her up to a Big Girl Bed (twin) she slept through the night!!! If you lay down with her til she`s sleeping you may end up having to break that habit as well.
