4/20/2010 1:35:59 AM My 2 year old daughter is a bit too big to be comforable in a highchair and she fights a booster seat. How do you take your children out to eat and get them to happily stay in the chair? She will color on the menu for a bit, but gets very bored while waiting on the food. Any advice is appreciated. |

ah I can relate to this all so well, My kids have no patience! What we do when we go out is i always ask for some bread and butter or crackers, something for her to munch on while we are waiting on the food, or ill ask them to bring the girls food out first and it seems to solve the problem for the most part. Hope that helps a little. |

I have a friend that always has a bag of snacks for her 3 kids when she goes out for dinner. he sets the kids at the table and simply gives them snacks, a little a time. She also has a huge Ziploc bag with little toys that she only shows them at the restaurant. The kids seem pretty happy. - cameciob 4/20/2010 9:41:13 PM | Flag |

A friend of ours used to give my child lemon slices. It gave me goosebumps but my son liked it. I was surprised with how long it kept him busy. This was the only time he got lemon slices. He sure made funny faces. This child did not color and was very busy. I also taught him to count change. Thankfully, he did not put things in his mouth. Keeping a bag of washed change is good as change is germy in my opinion. |

| Archangela Graffius My daughter 4 now, has always been great when we take her to restaurants. She loves to eat! My son, 2 that is a different story. He will color for a bit, then he is disinterested. He likes to count the sugar packets, that has been a big life saver for us. Over all, we usually dont go out, unless we know that we will not have to wait long, because he just doesnt have the attention span to sit anywhere! Thursday, November 25, 2010 | ||
