4/24/2010 10:20:19 AM I am a natural honey blonde. But shortly after turning 19 I decided that I should have been born with black hair. I've had black hair ever since.

As with make up, hair dying has more then one meaning and is mostly use to enhance someones look, for beauty purpose. People, females manly, think they are cuter if their hair looks different and often they are. For this reason I won't allow my daughter to dye her hair before the age of 18. I'm trying to keep her school focused. But some people dye their hair for other reasons like finding their identity or special events. And in this cases I have nothing against it. |

One thing I found interesting was the rule at my oldest boy's school which is no hair color changes because it's distracting. Even natural color changes are prohibited. It's not really a big deal to me, but I think that could almost be stepping on rights. |

| Lisa Riess depends on how old the child is and the reason they want to do it. if its because so and so would like me better as a blond or because so and so is blond--then no. if she just wants to see if she looks good as a blond and is in high school--sure. i would even help her do it. | Amanda Fuller I would let my son pretty much do what he wants to his hair because I`m a hair stylist. At 4 months old I already put his hair in a mohawk!! :) Monday, October 18, 2010 | ||

| Cheryl Bolin Here`s the thing. Dying your hair is extremely unhealthy at any age. Your mom was right on her point that God made each and every one of us the way that he wanted us, but also, hair dying is a normality. I think that you should consult a beautician and consider all of the pros and cons before you allow it to happen. Personally, I have allowed my 11 year old to put permanant highlights in her hair and it looks great. It is a decision that you and you child will have to live with. | Dana Speaker I am against hair dyes unless it is an all natural kind with no chemicals. They are not permanent, but still work good. I think it depends on the age, anytime after middle school is ok in my eyes to dye their hair. Monday, October 18, 2010 | ||
