Asked by cameciob {299} http://hubpages.com/profile/cameciob 4/24/2010 5:29:14 PM At six, my daughter seems too big for stuffed animals and other toys found in toy stores. Also she has so many toys that they filled up the whole basement. When she got some toys for Christmas she only played with them for few days before they got forgotten in a corner of our basement. She likes to draw, read, make crafts and play PC games. I would like to give her a present that won't 'wear' out so fast or one that has some other use and meaning then playing. I cannot come up with anything. Do you have any suggestions? |

![]() | I think for girls you can never go wrong with getting new stylish, store brand clothes. My neices loved when I came over with great tagged clothes. Find out what store she loves the most but doesn't have alot from. |

How about a birthday gift craft of some kind. Start by giving her a calendar with all your relatives' birthdays filled in. Then throughout the year, she can do the craft to create gifts as birthday presents. It's a way to to keep the craft going throughout the year plus a lesson in frugality in gifting. My 2 cents! |

| Tara Rosario Omg - do www have the same child!?? My daughter is 6 as well and ignores a lot of toys. She seems to love art supplies and that`s about it. We did get her a nintendo DS for her birthday that she loves though. I need help shopping too, but I am glad she doesn`t put more value in toys than interaction. One gift she loved was an indoor trampoline that has handles to hold and plays music to get them to jump more and has games to play on it. She still loves it a year later. | Jaime Wynkoop My son has a bday party for his girl friend who is turning 6...I just asked her mom last night what should I get and decided on art supplies! most kids already have way too many toys at that age... so art supplies or jewelry making kits are perfect. Friday, October 15, 2010 | ||
| Heidi Shadrick I don`t know if she already has one, but have you considered a Leap Frog Leap Pad? There are many educational games that she can play at a variety of levels, so the toy will grow with her. My young cousins have one, (boy and girl) they are 7 and 5, and both have their own games for it, so it could be passed down to younger sibs or cousins, too. Friday, October 15, 2010 | ||

| Gretchen Shoemaker That is wonderful that she has interest in the arts/crafts at such an early age. I myself tend to lean towards the arts/crafts so I will suggest a blank sketch book, maybe even one with a hard cover so it will last forever. A blank sketch book, lots of stickers and markers, glitter glue, etc..... you can`t go wrong !!!! It is something that she can make her own and let her little imagination run WILD :) <3 Friday, October 15, 2010 | ||

| Tamara Mocny On their Birthdays or Christmas,we let them only open a couple of their toys to play with that way, if they ever get bored with those toys they will have other ones still in the package to play with...It`s like Christmas all over again!!! Friday, October 15, 2010 | ||
