I don't necessarily think that there is any set schedule. I think that you will know when your little one is hungry. And you aren't going to make them wait if it isn't their scheduled time to eat yet. |

| Carl Cochran yes , every 2-4 hours, if sleeping feed when he/she wakes up, and if your consistent it would make for an easier feeding each time cuz the baby with start to expect it each time on scedule Friday, August 27, 2010 | ||

| Michelle Libby Yes but I never understood as to why I believe let them eat when hungry not when is best for me. JMO Friday, August 27, 2010 | ||
| Laura Fink eat on demand. Friday, August 27, 2010 | ||
| Dana Speaker I found that a schedule happened on it`s own. I nursed both my kids every 3 hours during the day and every time I sat down to feed them it was the same time as the days before. Friday, August 27, 2010 | ||
| Kelly Bowen Jenkinson Mine eat on deman also. If the kid is hungry I`m going to feed him, not wait 2 hours cause that is when his next scheduled feeding is. Friday, August 27, 2010 | ||
| Karen Wachenheim I agree with dana. It will happen on its own. I tried a achedule and it workewd sometimes but other times he was just hungry when he`s hungry! Friday, August 27, 2010 | ||
| TiffanyMarco Lopez You should never deprieve a baby food because you want to follow a schedule. A baby looks to it`s mother father or caregiver when hungry. That`s why once your baby learns to trust you they calm down when you start to prepare the bottle or breastfeed. Feed a baby when hungry. It`s only 12 months of formula(if you go that route) I think we can all handle the demand for that short amount of time lol Friday, August 27, 2010 | ||
| Kim Smith You can definitely aim for a schedule. Of course the only point is to be able to plan. Schedules also often change. You know when the best time is to schedule a dr. apopintment or go to the store. Still, when the baby is hungry, the baby is hungry. I know I`m not hungry at the same times everyday and I have a much larger stomach than my little baby. I`m certainly not going to let her cry or try to explain to a 3-mont-old that it is just not time yet. Don`t forget, every baby is different. Friday, August 27, 2010 | ||
| Raya Sunshine I wouldn`t advise it. I have a friend who does this and it just makes her kid eat more when meal-times come around..... I fed both my kids on demand and it worked out great and never seemed burdensome. I bought 4-8 oz cans of formula (ready to feed) and the 4 oz packages of powdered formula that you just mix with 4 oz of water and feed, for when we were on the road and nursed whenever possible.
