We always like to go on walks; go to the park; make a fort in the living room; wrestle on the ground; play in the backyard.

I guess the theme is free and fun with the family.

We like to go on walks, play at the park, have a picnic at the park, go miniature golfing, matinee movies, and kick around a ball in the backyard. I like to take our tween to the movies and shopping!

We like to play games. I used a lot of educational games too.  Examples are dominos, scrabble, apples to apples, Rummy-o.  Try to not put so much emphasis on winning.  Feel free to change the rules to fit your family.  An example of this is when playing concentration.  If you have a 10 year old and a 4 year old playing, allow the 4 year old to turn over 4 cards instead of 2 for the 10 year old.  Also, I have a match stack instead of a my stack versus your stack, so someone has to win or lose all the time.  Also read good books aloud together. When you are reading stop and ask what they think will happen next.   Also, treasure hunts are fun and encourage reading.

Movie night. You don`t have to go to the theater. You can buy or rent a new DVD.
