I think we bathed Ryan every day, if I'm not mistaken.  Heavenly Mommy would know for sure.  My memory is shot. :)

Actually, I think I gave him a wash cloth wipe-down during his first month because he felt too fragile to even put in the baby bath tub. I think if you're going to use the tub, every other day is sufficient. It's not like your son is getting really dirty at this point!

Several decades ago, the prevailing wisdom was to bathe the baby every day.  This was to help wash off the residue from pre-birth, and also the milk dribbles under the chin and behind the ears, etc.  And to keep the bottom area especially clean (remember, we didn't have disposal diapers back then), and also to make sure the navel healed cleanly and properly.

Of course back then, we were also forbidden to use baby bottles that had not been sterilized and the water boiled before adding to the formula.

When my daugther came home from the hospital, I gave her a bath every 3 days.  I would wipe her down everyday, but not an actual bath.  She is now 16 months old and she gets a bath every night.  Shes a messy eater and a messy player, plus with it being so hot and humid...it's an every night adventure at my house lol.

Depends on the skin type if they have dry skin then not everyday unless they make a big mess of themselves , keep the important areas clean, normal skin everyday as needed or every other day, and all this info from a father, of course I`m a fulltime at home Dad =)

I did a little tops and tails wash daily in case there was a little spit up lodged here and there and clean up the diaper area. True tub bath was probably twice a week. We`re in Chicago so especiallly in the winter, his skin would and still does dry out. Also, if cradle cap is a problem, I do recommend Mustela foaming shampoo. It`s a little spendy but lasts a long time.

My doc said every other day. If he really made a mess with his milk I would do every day.

I was an everyday gentle washer. My son really seemed relaxed in the tub and then a nice lotion gentle rub-down. Part of this was because he peeled at first but then I kept doing it as part of our routine.

When they are infants they should only get like two to three times a week is all you really need unless there is an emergency yucky like vomit or diahhreah

Once the sweat glands really develop and they are really sweaty and smell from sweat then everyday and once they start school then every day no matter what there are tons of germs at school and you don`t want them to show up unbathed and for the school to question your parenting it would be embarrasing and humiliting not to mention they may even call in the CPS people so be careful

My boys were NICU babies for over 4 months, and they gave baths every Tuesday and Saturday. They said to not dry out their skin with frequent washings. We try to do it every other night (which means a baby is getting bathed every night since there are two) or every 3rd day. Unless my one kid pulls out his feeding tube, and then is sleeping in the formula...THEN we have to give a bath whenever as he is sticky! Or a massive poop explosion.

My daughter has ezcema and her pedi said once a week is fine and soap is not necessary. Moisturize after each bath. Her skin is doing great!

My kids all love baths. From birth to present we bathe them daily! I take a shower everyday, I figure so should they. I am not the type of mom who has their baby lay in a bassinet all day though. My kids are down on the floor, outside in the dirt, and everywhere else you can think of to get dirty. I have boys!!!

My son takes a shower with me every night & has been bathed just about every night since he came home from the hospital. That`s my favorite part of the day. Afterwards, he eats & is knocked out til he gets hungry again (he`s 3 mos).

My dr. told me to bthe children no more than every other day. When you over bathe children they lose essential oils in their skin and it can lead to rashes, eczema and other issues.<3

Well when my son was a newborn I gave him a actual bath every other day but the other days always wiped him down. Now that he is 4 he has to take a bath every day. He is all boy and loves the dirt..lol
