3/1/2010 7:50:44 PM I know that drinking in mass quantities is definitely a no no when you're pregnant, but how about just having one little drink? Does it do more harm than good, or is it okay? |

![]() | there is no known set amount of alcohol that could cause fetal alcohol syndrome. with that being said no one will say yes it is ok for one drink or not it is simply your dicission to make. |

I feel “one of” anything that gets you high is not a good idea. This is a very controversial subject. Some doctors say it’s okay and some do not. The way I look at it, “Why take that chance/risk?” |

Way back in 1991, when I was pg with our first, they told me NO alcohol. I know it has changed some since then, but I just don't feel like it's worth the risk |

Don't drink a sip. It may seem like a scrupulous way of handling things but it's the best way. You can do without alcoholic drinks for 9 months, you don't even need alcohol in your life and you can definitely live without it. When you're pregnant, everything that you drink and digest your baby inside your womb also absorbs it. There is no safe level of alcohol for pregnant women, but according to studies, larger amounts ingested causes more problems. Any amount of alcohol you drink, even how little it is, can pose a potential risk and harm your baby, so, please don't drink alcoholic drinks when you're pregnant. |

I definitely agree with melissam. Why take that risk? What you take in during your pregnancy goes directly to your baby. Would you want to give your baby just one drink? - Raeraevnessa 3/2/2010 5:25:13 PM | Flag |

I am going to agree with every single answer that was already given here. I wouldn't take one sip. I don't know for sure if it is bad, but I would not want to worry for 9 months wondering if it was. Even worse, if for some reason you had an issue with your pregnancy or the child was born sick, you would have to wonder if that one glass of wine was the culprit. |
