Really whenever your child is ready. This can be anwhere from 1 1/2 yrs. to 3 yrs. old. There is no use in pushing a child who refuses as it will only cause your child to dislike the potty even more and frustrate you. You can also try using a reward system like stickers, m&ms, and other little bribery. For little boys you can throw a few fruit loops in the potty and let them take aim. They usually find this very enertaining. Good Luck! |

I agree completely with the previous comment. Try putting a little potty in the bathroom with you and taking your little one in with you whenever you go. Your child is going to either show an interest or not. But this can be just by sitting on the little potty and mimicking what you do. But be patient! This doesn't happen over night! The best advice I always got...They won't walk down the aisle in diapers. Good luck! |
